Description There's currently a long-term contract / contract to permanent opportunity at Robert Half for an experienced Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy and a knack for solving complex problems. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Continually improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Complete other projects as required
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing
Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners Requirements - Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Solid understanding of QuickBooks
Strong familiarity with bookkeeping
Excel Formulas experience preferred
Foundational knowledge in Intercompany Transaction
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Highly organized and self-motivated
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
A candidate with financial reporting systems proficiency will be the best fit for this position
