Prep Cook
Greater Sacramento and Carmichael area seeking a focused Prep Cook to join their team! Project / Temporary / Contract Work
Non-exempt
Wage: $17.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the chef in preparing the food
Maintains the cooking environment clean and safe for all staff members and takes on culinary tasks as they arise
Maintain the kitchen by sanitizing prep area before and after use and making sure that all knives and critical equipment are clean
Inventory of ingredients to ensure nothing is running low
Chopping vegetables, breaking down or grinding meat, weighing and mixing ingredients, washing and preparing vegetables, storing food, and more
Assist in setting up tables and ensuring that table accessories are in place
Work with wait staff to ensure that each order has the proper types and amounts of side dishes
Skills, Education and Experience:
HS diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year relevant experience
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
Must be able to pass drug and background check
Must be flexible to work holidays and evenings
Excellent communication skills
Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
