Office of the Registrar
Summary of Job Details
The Data Manager coordinates and manages the flow of student data between the various units of the Office of the Registrar and provides user training to ensure that appropriate procedures are followed. Responsible for production of complex statistical reports, data analysis and recommendations for the Registrar, Associate Registrars and other academic units on campus. Serves as a functional lead in the management of homegrown applications (esp. SREG) used by the Systems Operations unit in the Office of the Registrar. Responsibilities will include the tracking and prioritization of bug reports and feature requests based on feedback from the application users and will serve as the primary contact for the software developers when development is underway. Utilizes their knowledge of student and curriculum data as well as their working knowledge of the registration systems to produce documentation for use by end users and coordinates and provides training to end users on the use of Registrar systems and data.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Problem solving - Ability to analyze, solve complex problems, able to understand processing flow and troubleshoot issues.
Data Analysis - Experience with data analysis, reporting and an understanding of the basic uses of statistics.
Knowledge of Excel or comparable software and a high understanding of technology and ability to learn new software.
Organization - Ability to work with little to no supervision and prioritize workload and deadlines
