Professional Tax Practice is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant/Manager to prepare tax payments and returns for individuals, sole proprietors, partnerships, LLC's, corporations, trusts and estates. To succeed in this role, you should show interest in following changes to tax regulations and laws. Excellent time management skills are also essential, as you’ll have to ensure our company meets tight deadlines.
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
$90,000-$150,000/year DOE + Benefits
Responsibilities:
Organizing and maintaining records of tax payments.
Recommend tax strategies that comply with laws and promote our client’s financial well-being.
Estimate and track tax returns.
Complete quarterly and annual tax reports.
Organize and update the company’s tax database.
Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns.
Share financial data with the accounting department.
Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits.
Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes.
Liaise with internal and external auditors.
Forecast tax predictions to senior managers.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Prior experience working for a CPA Firm as a Tax Accountant or Tax Preparer
Experience with corporate and individual taxes
Strong client relationship skills
Industry Certification such as CPA, CMA or EA a plus!
Proficiency in Lacerte a plus!
