General Manager

A fast casual restaurant chain is seeking a passionate and energetic General Manager who will lead their Team enthusiastically with a focus on exceptional guest service and successfully oversee the entire restaurant operation.

Position: General Manager

Pay: $60,000 - $70,000, based on experience

Location: Westlake Village, CA 91361

The ideal candidate has a love of people and achievement and has a talent for coaching others to marketing and operational success. The key to success in this position is – first and foremost – building relationships with your Teams that are based on honesty, trust and the ability to inspire each other, every day, to be our best self. In addition, this position requires flexibility, excellent communications skills, good time management, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently. You must be a results-oriented, people person.

What you will do:

- Coach, teach, and motivate the team to maintain high quality food and exceptional guest service with a hand on approach to leadership.

- Successfully and consistently communicate team wins, priorities, best practices and operational changes to deliver brilliant execution.

- Make daily decisions that involve time management (must have a sense of urgency), upholding product quality, cleanliness, and all other Company standards.

- Connect and understand the importance of community involvement and grass roots marketing.

- Ensure that food safety and security standards are met and adhered to consistently.

- Control day-to-day operations by scheduling, ordering food and supplies, and developing the restaurant's team.

- Maintain food service and production levels by leading strong back of house and front of house execution.

- Address and resolve performance issues quickly and respectfully by coaching, counseling, and managing any conflicts.

- Contributes ideas, thoughts, and solutions that result in increased productivity, higher retention, and improved operations.

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or GED

- 2-4 years supervisory experience in food service industry or restaurant environment

- Must be able to work 50 hours per week.

- Must pass background check

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent planning, organizing and follow-up skills

- Strong decision making and conflict resolution skills

- Manage time effectively and reach objectives within specified time frames

- Communicate detailed knowledge of restaurant standards, in a top-of-mind manner, to both employees and managers

- Experience working in a hands-on, fast paced environment
