Non-Profit Affordable Housing Apartment complex with need of a maintenance person to do custodial work and general property upkeep in Kekaha. If the post is up, then we're still hiring!
Overview:
- Regular work three days a week, 5 hours a day
- On-Call for emergencies or urgent situations
- Starts at $25/ hour
- Job is in Kekaha, preference given to Kekaha or South/West Side residents
- MUST HAVE A DRIVER'S LICENSE AND VEHICLE WITH CAR INSURANCE (we know it's a pain, but our insurance requires it)
Description (Full Description and Duties to be discussed in interview):
- Landscaping of small lawn and walk ways
- Custodial care of 13 unit walk up building
- "Handyman" duties as need to repair plumbing, electric, change locks, etc. (Higher level skill set appreciated, but not required; can outsource "bigger" or more "high level" projects to third party companies)
- Deep clean individual apartment unit for unit turnarounds (we try to keep turn over of residents low, but will have one to two units in need of a deep clean per month.)
- Reports to Financial Controller/Property Manager
Expectations:
- Pleasant Attitude (will be interacting with residents and possibly HUD inspectors)
- Good Communication (this job is on-site in Kekaha, but management team is located in Anahola)
- Flexibility (especially as it relates to being "on call" - we are flexible and ask the same from our staff)
- Thorough and Knowledgeable (as it pertains to cleaning, fixing, etc. - don't want any "landlord specials")
