Kumi Construction Management Corporation (KUMI) is seeking to immediately fill the position of Office Engineer / /Project Controls. Individuals with the following skill-sets should apply for immediate consideration:
Requirements:
Associate Degree from a nationally accredited college or university in any of the following areas of study: Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Environmental, or Systems disciplines), Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Liberal Arts, or similar course of study.
5 years project-level experience in the Construction or Engineering field, 2 of which was spent performing project support duties including financial reporting, record-keeping, and payment processing. At least 1 year of related experience should be spent serving in the capacity of Civil Inspector.
Responsibilities:
Implementation of the filing system for and maintenance of the Project Records.
Receives, logs, and transmits all Contractor submittals & RFIs.
Works in coordination with the Resident Engineer to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of Inspector Daily Reports.
Implements and maintains all required logs of the status of various documents (i.e., Submittals, Transmittals, RFI’s, Drawing & Specification Revisions, etc.) at their various stages before, during, and after construction.
Supervises and assists Inspectors with the computation of pay quantities.
Prepares and verifies progress, semi-final, and final payments.
Attend meetings as directed by the Resident Engineer
Creates agendas as directed.
Prepares and distributes Meeting Minutes as directed.
Compile data and create reports as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer. These reports include but are not limited to the following subjects:
Project Status
Project Progress
Project Budget Analysis
Project Financials (paid-to-date, pending, etc.)
Assist Inspectors with on-site construction inspection during periods of increased site activity.
Act on the behalf of the Resident Engineer in their absence.
Works in coordination with the Resident Engineer to ensure that the office is and remains equipped with all necessary supplies and equipment to execute its function effectively and efficiently.
Works in coordination with the Resident Engineer and Chief Office Engineer to review, modify, implement, and maintain project-level management policies to promote and improve project-level effectiveness and efficiency.
Preparation of all Project Documents in advance of audit.
