Position Summary: As a key member of the treatment team, Advocates provide comprehensive support to resident families while fostering a trauma-informed culture. Candidates should be adept at managing behavioral and emotional challenges, ensuring a safe and structured environment, and teaching healthier coping strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond effectively to crises using trauma-informed care and behavior management.
Manage documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Implement individualized treatment plans utilizing community resources.
Ensure safety and security of residents through structured activities.
Provide necessary transportation for residents.
Communicate and document concerns about residents promptly.
Uphold policies and guidelines for healthy relationships and positive interactions.
Participate in training and orientation of new staff.
Conduct room searches, fire drills, and random drug tests as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; college experience preferred.
Experience with youth in residential settings.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Commitment to multicultural awareness and inclusion.
