Salary Range:$23.26-32.06 hourlyHours:Intermittent position, hours and days may vary.Job DescriptionThis intermittent position will assist with security during large events on campus, and as needed during other times of the year to ensure full staffing capacity in Security. This position will also aid with the College's compliance requirements and efforts including the Jeanne Clery Act and associated training including the producing of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report and Statistics. This position works directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds and fully supports the College’s commitment to equity and inclusion.Minimum Qualifications

At least two (2) years of experience as a Security Patrol Officer, Crime Prevention Officer, or Peace Officer.

Associate’s degree in Law Enforcement, Paralegal, or related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience; Bachelor’s degree in above areas may substitute for 2 years of experience.

Preferred Qualification

Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.

Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.

Experience working well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment.

Three years or more of work experience with an institution of Higher Education.

Knowledge of FEMA, Clery Act, and Homeland Security requirements sufficient to administer security and emergency management responsibilities.

Excellent oral and written communications.

Ability to use independent judgement and to manage and impart confidential information.

Strong interpersonal skills.
