Thrive believes that when families are strong, children succeed, and
communities thrive.
The Family Support Worker is responsible for:
– Supporting young parents with children ages zero to five years of age, and
– Providing preventative, consistent, long-term support, encouragement, and education to each family through home visiting.
This position is part of Thrive’s Partnership Project and is designed to both collaborate with other community resources and work one-on-one with families to build upon individual strengths of the family. The Family Support Worker has an office in Thrive but also travels to clients’ homes daily. They must be able to effectively work while shuffling between the office and home visits with little supervision. On occasion, clients in crisis may contact a Family Support Worker outside of regular work hours and the Family Support Worker must answer/respond to the call in a timely manner.
This position is designed to support children and parents in order to promote the academic, social, and emotional success of children.
This position may occasionally require work outside of normal working hours, including some weekends when events are held.
