BRIEF JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the foster, spay/neuter assistance, and off-site adoption programs. Requires after business hours availability. Reports directly to the Operations Director.

WORK HOURS: 5 days per week (40 hours per week) including one weekend day; on call for after-hours emergencies. Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

To compassionately shelter the lost and surrendered pets of the Gallatin and Madison Valleys and to enhance the lives of people and companion animals through pet adoption and education. Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter is an open admission shelter. This means we accept any cat or dog that comes to our shelter, regardless of their condition or circumstance. We do not euthanize healthy adoptable animals based on length of stay or available space at the shelter.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-High school education or GED.

-Certified Euthanasia License. To be obtained at first available training.

-Ongoing commitment to the mission, policies and goals of HOV.

-Highly organized and detail oriented.

-Available for after-hours foster calls.

-Ability to work with cats and dogs of all breeds and temperaments.

-Clear and professional personal communication skills, both oral and written, especially in relation to customer relations.
