As the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for the overall management, direction and coordination of production operations in carrying out the Company’s objectives. The Production Supervisor delegates authority to key subordinates to ensure that Safety, Quality, Service, and Production objectives are achieved. This position directs the production activities involved in the transformation of raw materials into cookie doughs, bread doughs, and soy products, thereby having a direct impact on productivity, safety, waste, and cost to the Company.
Responsibilities are as followed;
Direct supervision of production personnel.
Participate as a pillar leader for Heartland Gourmet.
Participate in long range planning of equipment and facilities to meet plant capacity needs and strive toward a zero-waste environment.
Model manufacturing excellence through implementing production goals and methods to achieve targeted delivery and quality requirements through the following;
5s
Lean manufacturing
Food safety certifications
Time management training
Develop staff and serve as an integral role in training staff members.
Be able to communicate with all levels of staff, management, regulatory bodies and customers.
Support our behavior-based safety process for GMP, food safety, employee safety, pest control and inventory control to ensure all production requirements are met through active participation.
Comply with, and promote all Heartland Gourmet and plant specific policies and culture.
Embrace and actively participate in all Heartland Gourmet programs and Initiatives.
Education
Highschool GED or equivalent
Experience
3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in the food industry.
