ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking a Technical Specialist to join our team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This role will make an impact by meeting the future needs of our FAA customer that includes securing data across networks in the enterprise.SUMMARY
TPoG is a new system that processes NWP precipitation output from multiple weather sensors and provides it to STARS. The program is currently in design/development and support is required for the development of the maintenance concept, testing, maintenance transition planning and requirements definition.
Works independently with limited supervision. Provides expertise in requirements analysis, design, design reviews, development, testing, integration, installation, and maintenance of computer system
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide 2 nd level engineering support for TPoG
Support system development/testing/integration/deployment activities
Review and comment on system engineering documents; system requirement documents; system testing documents, system maintenance planning documents
Attend system design reviews; technical interchange meetings; any other meetings as requested to support program and team meetings
Possess a technical understanding of systems; databases; networking; computing environments; and virtualization
Develop and manage system engineering artifacts; system requirements artifacts; system testing artifacts; required product baseline artifacts
Participate in system test and key site test activities as a tester
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Must be willing to travel. On call for site support
Full-time position, standard work hours, no specified job duration
On-site at the FAA WJHTC

High School Diploma or GED required and ten (10) years of related experience including at least five (5) years of NAS experience.
An Associate’s Degree in a related field will be accepted in lieu of two (2) years of experience.
A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field will be accepted in lieu of fur (4) years of experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Required
Experience with requirements definition and maintenance planning
Experience in performing system testing including issue documentation, troubleshooting, test procedure creation, and test report generation
Proficient technical writing and oral communication skills
Preferred
Interprets and analyzes complex information systems data to develop technical documentation, system diagrams
Knowledge of Aviation Weather Products
Security
US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US
Has been living in the US for at least the past 3 years
Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust
