Job title: Full Charge Bookkeeper
Location: Northern New Jersey (Hybrid/Remote)

Reports to: CEO
Salary range: $35/hr
A leading greeting card company committed to providing exceptional products and services is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team and support our financial operations. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the company. This role involves recording daily financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and providing essential support to the CEO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full charge bookkeeping, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Record and maintain all financial transactions including trial balance, purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
Reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial records
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and process payroll in compliance with company policies and legal requirements (W-2 and 1099)
Assist in the preparation of management reports
Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal controls
Sales tax reporting and coordination of filings
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective financial operations
Qualifications:
Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Full Charge Bookkeeper
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online a must
Proficiency in Excel a must
Pro Advisor Certification a plus
Sales commissions and royalties experience beneficial
PC Literacy (Fully PC Environment)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Interest in improving systems and implementing solutions
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Education:
Relevant certifications (Certified Bookkeeper) are a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Work Environment/Schedule:
40 hours/week; flexible schedule
Ability to work EST hours
Hybrid with preference for candidates based in New Jersey
Possible occasional in-person meetings in northern NJ office
