Position Porter
Department Food & Beverage
Reports To: Executive Chef, Facilities Manager
Job Overview:
The Porter’s priority is to maintain a clean and safe facility in accordance with the standards of Nexus Club.
Essential Job Functions:
Complete Daily and Detail Cleaning Checklists
Follow directions given by Managers.
Clean, organize, sweep, dust and mop the kitchen, bars and service areas.
Perform other job-related activities as required or assigned including event set-up and stocking inventory.
Adhere to Nexus Club’s company policies and operating procedures.
Demonstrate professionalism in punctuality at presentation.
Represent and promote Nexus Club’s culture of teamwork in a positive work environment.
Treat every team member and client with respect.
Handle all company property with care.
Qualifications:
Essential
1. Prior experience in dish washing, cleaning or janitorial work.
2. Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
3. Provide legible communication.
Desirable
1. High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
2. Basic maintenance experience.
3. Food preparation experience or interest.
Physical Abilities:
1. Exert physical effort in transporting up to 60 pounds.
2. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
3. Reach heights of 6 feet.
4. Remain in a stationary position throughout work shift.
