JOB SUMMARY The Packaging Operator is responsible for operating or tending to machines that prepare consumer products for storage or shipment with the bottle house, variety pack and/or draft center. STATUS: Full Time JOB TYPE: Union SHIFT: Afternoons / Overnights; Weekends and OT as needed LOCATION: Rochester, NY DEPARTMENT: Packaging ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILTIES
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Properly wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and follow all safety and company policies.
Ensure continuous line production by removing damaged or compromised product from the production line, clearing jams, and hand packaging when machine is not in operation.
Keep pace with running machinery to ensure daily production goals are met or exceeded.
Perform quality inspection of product on production line and complete written documentation that inspections were completed.
Maintain sanitation of machinery, equipment, storage bins, work stations, etc.
Report safety, mechanical, and electrical issues to Supervision.
Recycle all materials into the correct storage bins and material compactors.
Perform other various job duties as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
Strong work ethic and willingness to take on any task.
Dependable and punctual – must be able to adhere to attendance and absenteeism policy.
Good communication skills.
Positive attitude and ability to take constructive criticism.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Ability to work in hot, cold, and noisy work environments.
Ability to climb up and down stairs frequently and stand for 8-12 hours per day.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

The starting pay rate is $19.05/hr, as set forth in the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
