To achieve this goal, the Hardware, Infrastructure Management, and Fundamentals Engineering (HIFE) team is instrumental in defining and delivering operational measures of success for hardware manufacturing, improving the planning process, quality, delivery, scale, and sustainability related to Microsoft cloud hardware.We are looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to join the New Technology Engineering (NTE) organization.  NTE is responsible for leading the engineering, validation, and production readiness for new cloud service capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for spotting and addressing complex challenges in the deployment of new hardware technologies for Sovereign cloud domains. Your leadership will be crucial in developing and maintaining governance programs and processes that uphold high performance and quality standards throughout the development process. You will oversee detailed qualification processes for hardware within specialized cloud environments, confirming that our standards of excellence are consistently met. You will lead the charge in establishing clear efficiency goals and success metrics for our team, ensuring they align with our broader technology objectives. Manage comprehensive qualification processes for hardware in specialized cloud environments, ensuring our standards of excellence are always upheld.

Establish and achieve clear efficiency goals and success metrics that are in harmony with our expansive technology objectives.

Identify and tackle complex challenges in deploying secure and innovative solutions within Sovereign cloud domains.

Lead the development and upkeep of governance programs and processes to ensure sustained high performance and quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Provide mentorship and guidance to up-and-coming professionals, fostering their growth and aligning with the team's strategic goals.

Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.

3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

3+ years of experience in using data analytics for continuous improvement, risk management, and troubleshooting.

Other Requirements:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport.Preferred Qualifications:

Direct technical experience with cloud datacenter design, server technology, or physical device architecture

8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

10+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.

8+ years of experience in creating, managing, or optimizing a software product lifecycle or manufacturing system

Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
