Job DescriptionPosition Description:Supplier ManagerThe Supplier Manager key responsibility is to provide strategic program level cross supplier management and oversight for programs identified as critical to the success of Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO), Global Clinical Development (GCD) objectives and deliverables.The incumbent is expected to have strong business acumen, excellent leadership skills, and ability to anticipate risk/gaps within the supplier engagements and influence stakeholders to identify and execute risk mitigation strategies to enable success of program. The incumbent should also provide operational leadership and guidance to Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO), Global Clinical Development (GCD), supporting functions, and suppliers to support optimal cross functional & cross supplier collaboration and strong partnerships.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Supplier Management
Create, support, implement, and manage program level supplier plans selected for Hypercare inclusive of Clinical Service Suppliers supporting program.
Facilitate and lead supplier program level kick off meetings and recurring program level meetings.
Work with stakeholders to define supplier interfaces/handoffs.
Pro-actively work across program, stakeholders, and suppliers to identify and mitigate risks that may impact the delivery & execution of the program.
Propose solutions to drive prevention and resolution of issues and/or opportunities for operational improvements across the program suit of suppliers influencing and engaging appropriate functional leadership and other functions as needed.
Proactively monitor and manage cross supplier collaboration by closely partnering with supplier RMs, Program, Business, Operational, and Scientific leads to allow transparent communication channels & decision-making processes and drive continuous improvement, cross collaborative, and proactive engagement.
Support/lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to improve business performance with focus operational excellence, building strong partnerships, and cross supplier/functions collaboration.
Prepare and distribute supplier and program risks on a regular basis to senior leadership.
Sourcing Strategy
Support and collaborate with Supplier RMs, Program Leads and Research & Development Procurement (RDSP) on established sourcing strategies.
Process & People Management
Anticipate internal/external business challenges and create and implement process improvements to address those challenges.
Mentor junior and new team members as applicable.
Build and develop strong partnerships, engagements with internal/external partners to allow for transparency and strong collaborative relationships.
Position Qualifications :Education Minimum Requirement:
Bachelors or ex-US equivalent from an accredited university in Business, Technical, or Life Sciences.
Required Experience and Skills:
7+ years of clinical trial experience or relevant industry experience
Strong partner/supplier management experience
Excellent project management and collaboration skills
Must demonstrate effective problem solving, issue resolution, and negotiation skills across all levels, functions and with external partners.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills and ability to influence decisions across all levels of organization.
Ability to lead in a matrix environment through proven leadership/management skills.
Ability to work independently or as a team contributor and make rapid and disciplined decisions.
Ability to navigate between strategic level thinking and tactical execution activities.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Laboratory experience or vendor management experience supporting laboratory services.
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Experience in data collection, organization, and tracking.
