Continuous Improvement Advisor, you will lead Continuous Improvement program developments and implementations for assigned areas. You will demonstrate team collaboration and balance multiple expectations across Cleveland Clinic functions while improving standards and advancing Continuous Improvement tools. In this role you will promote training and development of continuous improvement team members and collaborate with other CI (Continuous Improvement) Program Directors to build standards to span all CI teams.The Future Caregiver is someone who:

Ability to lead multiple project teams and influence large initiatives leveraging advanced continuous improvement and project management tools to support the execution of Continuous Improvement within assigned area.

Teach, coach, and mentor CI Caregivers and leadership down to frontline caregivers in the assigned area on continuous improvement best practices.

Build capability in analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of existing processes to develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable process improvements in large-sized areas. Provide direction, oversight, leadership, and guidance to less experienced CI specialists.

Research best practices within and outside the organization and apply learnings to development of CI tools and standards.

Ability to manage and run a portfolio of work that spans a variety of work efforts from themselves and other CI team members.

Ability to clearly track and articulate the impact of portfolio and establish governance systems to sustain the impact.

Regularly advises on the collection and analyzation of process data to initiate, develop, and recommend practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity, and reduced cost.

Coach others to improve and shape communication (written/verbal/listening), situational awareness and non-verbal cues.

Identifies the relevant need for the organization, develops and executes a plan to address this need while applying the Continuous Improvement model.

Assists larger CI team in navigating organizational politics/climate.

Coach other CI team members to utilize customer orientation and ability to clearly match support tools and services to the needs of stakeholders.

Develops and deploys new CI tools, standards, and training to continue to develop our CI Team Partnering with operational leaders to drive decision making for the success of the business.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required.

Master's Degree required.

In lieu of master's degree, 8 years of process improvement experience or a Lean Certification may suffice.

Languages:

English

Certifications:

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Certification preferred.

Complexity of Work:

Demonstrate knowledge of quality tools, lean foundation elements, and change management.

Lead data analysis sessions and speak about the drive/watch metric dashboard without assistance. Can build graphs and charts from raw data and interpret them meaningfully.

Able to navigate and operate in the organization at all levels to achieve results using industry knowledge.

Can help coach others to improve and shape communication (written/verbal/presentation/listening) in several engagement-specific environments. Can coach others on situational awareness and non-verbal cues.

Can effectively coach and train teams as well as other CI caregivers around influencing others and change management concepts.

Understands the core concepts of Lean and can utilize them to achieve dramatic results (using tools like process mapping, visual management, standard work, demand analysis, basic statistics, observation methods, VSM, Material pull, project management, control plans, FMEA, productivity management, kaizen, flow diagrams, spaghetti diagrams, fishbone diagram, cause & effect, brainstorming, 5 Whys, root cause corrective action, Pareto principle, histograms).

Work Experience:

Ten (10) years business or healthcare experience with at least seven (7) years' experience with leading process improvement transformation and project management.

Six (6) or more years of demonstrated ability to direct teams comprised of high functioning individual contributors.

Experience in transformation/change agent role within an organization engaged in a Lean transformation preferred.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with all organizational levels, including executives, local area leaders, frontline caregivers, and CI Caregivers

Health care experience preferred.

Demonstrated ability to teach/coach/influence/ advise leadership at all levels regarding continuous improvement principles and practices and role of leader in a continuous improvement organization, in a complex, fast-paced, matrixed organization.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.

In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.

Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $48.99Maximum hourly: $74.71The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
