We are a professional couple in our late 30s seeking a dedicated and versatile full-time, live-in nanny to join our family starting July 2025. This position offers a unique opportunity to care for our first child, a newborn (3 months old at the start date), and assist with household management while enjoying a competitive salary, comfortable living arrangements in our modern home in the heart of Philadelphia, exciting travel opportunities, and potential for overtime on scheduled days off.

About Our Family:

- Parents: A pediatrician (mother) and a management consultant (father)

- Child: Our first baby, who will be 3 months old when the position starts

- Home: A new, modern, and comfortable house in Center City Philadelphia

- Pet: A friendly 4-year-old Bernedoodle

- Lifestyle: The father travels frequently for work; family travels multiple times per year

- Additional Support: We have a weekly cook and professional cleaning service

- Travel: Multiple domestic and international trips throughout the year

Position Details:

- Start Date: July 2025

- Base Salary: $44,000 per year

- Location: Center City Philadelphia, with frequent domestic and international travel

- Regular Schedule: 6 days per week, typically 7 AM to 7 PM, with one full day off per week

- Overtime: Opportunities may be available on scheduled days off, compensated at overtime rates

- Time Off: Two weeks of paid vacation per year

- Healthcare: Monthly stipend provided for healthcare expenses

Responsibilities:

Childcare:

- Provide attentive and nurturing care for our newborn baby

- Assist with the baby's daily routines, including feeding, diaper changes, bathing, and naps

- Create a stimulating environment to support the baby's developmental milestones

- Maintain a consistent sleep and feeding schedule

- Prepare and sterilize bottles, and eventually introduce solid foods (with parents' guidance)

- Keep the nursery clean, organized, and safe

- Do baby's laundry and maintain a hygienic environment

- Document the baby's daily activities, milestones, and any concerns

- Coordinate with parents regarding the baby's care and development

- Accompany the child to various activities, potentially including visits to our country clubs

- Provide care and maintain routines during domestic and international travel

Household Management:

- Assist with general housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized home

- Perform light cleaning duties such as vacuuming, dusting, and tidying common areas

- Help with laundry and ironing for the entire family

- Grocery shopping and running errands as needed

- Basic organization and decluttering of living spaces

- Assist with care for our 4-year-old Bernedoodle, including walks and feeding

- Help manage household schedules and appointments

- Assist with travel preparations, including packing for the child

Additional:

- Accompany the family on domestic and international trips multiple times per year

- Maintain open communication with family members about household needs and tasks

- Be comfortable working independently, especially during father's business trips

- Potentially accompany the child to country club facilities for activities or outings

- Adapt to different environments and routines during travel

- Be open to occasional overtime opportunities on scheduled days off, as needed by the family

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of professional childcare experience, with specific experience caring for infants

- Experience in household management and general domestic tasks

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record

- Current CPR and First Aid certification for infants

- Excellent references and must pass a comprehensive background check

- Strong communication skills and fluency in English

- Patient, gentle, and knowledgeable about newborn care and early childhood development

- Flexibility to occasionally work on scheduled days off when overtime opportunities arise

- Experience with breastmilk handling and storage a plus

- Knowledge of infant sleep training techniques preferred

- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

- Comfortable with and fond of dogs, particularly large breeds

- Physical stamina to work long hours and handle the demands of infant care

- Willingness to sign and adhere to a strict confidentiality agreement

- Comfortable in upscale environments such as country clubs and high-end hotels

- Passport holder with the ability to travel internationally

- Adaptable and resourceful in various environments and cultures
