THE POSITIONThe PA Department of Transportation is searching for a Clerical Assistant 2 to deliver quality clerical support services to the Assistant District Executive and other Maintenance staff in the District 4-0 Engineering Office. DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, the Clerical Assistant 2 will assist ADE for Maintenance and Maintenance Staff with any file searching, reports, letters, memoranda, transmittals, agendas, etc. Other duties of this position include answering the telephones and redirecting calls to the appropriate department, scheduling various Maintenance meetings, arrange travel lodging for ADE and maintenance staff, and handles all outgoing mail. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Dunmore, PA.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or

Graduation from high school; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
