Prohibition Charleston is looking for a full-time OR part-time line cook to join our team. Must have a minimum one year of cooking experience. The available schedule for this position is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:30am to 4:30pm with optional PM shifts during the week. Pay is weekly! No early mornings/late nights!
Requirements:
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook.
Experience working brunch or in a short-order kitchen a plus.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
Reliability and consistency.
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
Ability to work well with others and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report and follow executive or sous chefs instructions
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
