Production Operator

Shift: Rotating days 12-hour schedule, 3AM-3:30PM for day shift, 3PM-3:30AM for evening shiftPosition Summary:

The Production Operator l is responsible for coordinating the flow of raw materials, maintaining the performance of the production line, and monitoring the condition of the finished product. The Production Operator l is the entry level position. Production Operator l may also be required to perform other duties as assigned by direct supervision.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with routine maintenance and machine trouble shooting as required.

Assure that all production and quality reports relative to job are completed properly.

Complete all paperwork require for Data Collection

Load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.

Maintain cleanliness of work area to ensure a safe, non-contaminated work place.

Monitor raw materials (Talc, Color, Additives, and other resins) levels required to maintain uninterrupted operations of Extruder Line.

Monitor start-up and/or off spec material to be recovered during Production Runs.

Monitor Vacuum Pressure and Strands to maintain output and reduce off-spec material.

Assist in training and instructing all employees assigned to their particular production process.

Transfer weighed materials to production or storage areas.

Weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.

Work at different work stations as production needs require.

Ability to work overtime as needed.

Assure proper set-up of extruder and support systems, and start-up of machine relative to instructions on the work order and job work instructions.

Is aware of his/ her individual Quality, Environmental and OHandS obligations.

Is aware of his/her roles and responsibilities in achieving and the importance of conforming to the Quality, Environment and OHandS policy, procedures, emergency preparedness and response and management systems as well as the potential consequences of departure from specified operating procedures/jwis.

Maintain ongoing inspection of product and process for conformity to requirements.

Monitor Line Instrumentations to maintain uninterrupted extrusion process of Line.

Stop production when extruders, or extrude support systems, fail to meet product requirements, and for product (color) testing.

Verify that finished goods packaging is correct.

Encourage that all co-workers comply with all ACP safety standards and TOSHA standards, in place at this worksite.

Is aware of the identified hazards, assessed risks, legal requirements and implemented controls within his/her dept.

Report any and all hazards, incidences and accidents identified and/ or witnessed at the facility directly to the QSE department and direct supervisor.

Safety, Environment and Quality Assurance Responsibilities:

Comply with, work to, and provide support for all Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Laboratory management systems, policies, procedures, work instructions for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO/TS16949, and ISO17025.

Support compliance with all other applicable regulatory (such as OSHA) and company OHandS and EMS requirements.

Comply with all ACP Company rules, policies, procedures and report any/ all hazards, incidences and accidents identified and/ or witnessed directly to the supervisor/manager, and Plant Safety department.

Is aware of the significant impacts, associated aspects, and the legal requirements that are inherent with acquired duties, identified hazards, assessed risks, and implemented controls within his/her dept

The employee is exposed to work environment that is usually loud.

Experience, Education/Training and License

Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent.
