Work environment: The Siratt Women's Center at Texas Health Hurst Euless Bedford (HEB) Hospital has a full-time opportunity for an experienced Mother Baby RN.
12 bed Mother Baby and Maternal/Newborn Unit
9 bed LDR, 3 OR suites, 4 bed OB ED unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month
Level II NICU
Couplet care and Maternal Designation
Level III Maternal Designation
Certification rate over 50%
Nursing Clinical Ladder participation rate over 50%

Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
Current RN licensure required
BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
1 year of Mother/Baby experience preferred
What You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
