The Division Director of Medical Staff Services assists the Division Vice President of Quality and Division CMO with implementation of and compliance with credentialing initiatives/processes. The Director is expected to maintain a working knowledge of applicable HCA Healthcare and Parallon Credentialing Processing Center (CPC) policies, accreditation standards and regulations associated with medical staff services, and play a key role in the integration of HCA Clinical Strategies and HCA systems.
At the direction of the Division Vice President of Quality, the Division Director of Medical Staff Services will:
Serve as the communication link between corporate staff, division staff, and facilities within the division as related to HCA Credentialing Operations and Clinical Information Governance.
Monitor implementation and progress of credentialing and data integrity projects within the division
Foster a collaborative working relationship between facilities within the division, division staff, CPC staff and COG/Professional Practice Advancement (PPA) personnel, division IT&S, Information Protection & Security and key internal stakeholders.
Represent the interests of MSPs by gathering and providing their feedback to COG, the CPCs, and the Division VPs of Quality about matters related to the design, implementation, and success of various aspects of the HCA Credentialing Strategy or Clinical Information Governance program.
Facilitate division MSS meetings.
Coordinate efforts to develop processes that support sharing of best practices.
Provide orientation (corporate/division overview) to new MSPs within the division.
Advocate for the goals of the HCA Credentialing Strategy and clinical information governance.
Be a subject matter expert for MSP colleagues.
What qualifications you will need:EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in medical staff services science, business, or related field of study or an equivalent combination of training and experience required.
Master’s Degree preferred.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
Certified Professional Medical Services Management and/or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist within time period specified by the Division Vice President of Quality.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years comprehensive credentialing experience in an acute care hospital or CVO setting. Minimum of 2 years supervisory/management experience.
