JOB SUMMARY: The BH Crisis Prevention Specialist manages and oversees the development and implementation of the Community Health Center’s approach to Suicide and BH crisis prevention. This position is responsible for knowing and staying current on crisis-related data and research, crisis prevention strategies and recommendations, innovative strategies in the field, and new education and awareness campaigns at the local, state, and national levels. The BH Crisis Prevention Specialist operates under the direct supervision of the Community Health Coordinator and the direction of the Health Services Director. The Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe, originally known as the Nux Sklai Yem or The Strong People, are descendants of the Salish peoples with ancestral ties to the Kitsap Peninsula that date back at least 1,000 years.
