The Position: We are seeking to fill a Residential Electrician position who can install, maintain, inspect, and repair wiring for residential electrical systems and components. For additional information on the job, please see the full posting.

The ideal candidate has:

High school diploma or equivalent education as required by the trade apprenticeship program

Completion of formal apprentice training work experience as a residential electrician

Valid Washington state driver’s license with an insurable driving record

What will you do?

Install, modify, and upgrade new and existing electrical systems, components, and other related electrical equipment in residential properties

Conduct regular maintenance on residential electrical equipment as assigned

Perform tasks associated with, but not limited to, maintaining, troubleshooting, and making repairs to lighting and electrical components, phone, and cable within licensing or certification limits

Inspect and make recommendations on the condition and replacement of electrical components, according to code, to ensure safety

Purchase and/or order required electrical supplies from vendors and SHA warehouse as needed and in compliance with SHA procurement guidelines and policies

Educate tenants on the proper use of electrical equipment

Create required reports as requested
