Hourly position. Paid every two weeks.

Year round position based at Fairchild Air Force Base.

Position expected to start early March .

Summary:

We are looking for an individual who will maintain quality and control standards when conducting and completing work and who has the ability to train, coach, and evaluate crew members. The individual in this position will be responsible for communicating with management regarding any resources needed to complete duties. This individual should have the ability to direct and problem solve under stressful situations and still communicate clearly.

The ideal candidate has the ability to work independently and in a crew setting, has effective time management skills, demonstrates reliability in all aspects of the position, and is safety conscious. Irrigation Supervisor may be asked to perform other duties as assigned in order to meet contractual and scheduling needs.

Education/Experience

1-2 years in a supervisor or lead position.

Experience scheduling workloads appropriately and routes for each day.

3-5 years experience as a landscape irrigation technician working with a variety of irrigation systems (commercial, residential, and large sports fields).

Experience working with galvanized, poly, and PVC systems; is familiar with the operation and functions of newer, smart irrigation systems and water conservation techniques.

Experience safely operating various tools and equipment (such as backhoes, compactors, power saws, etc.); and has experience with irrigation system installation.

The individual in this position must be safety conscious and familiar with confined space safety measures and trench shoring safety measures.

You must also have empathy and respect for individuals with disabilities.

Other Requirements:

Must have a valid driver's license, be at least 18+ years of age and have a safe driving record determined by Skils'kin's vehicle insurance carrier.

Must be able to obtain a Federal Contractors Badge upon employment.

Must be available to work primarily M-F 6:00/7:00 am to 3:30 pm (35 to 40 hours/week). Scheduled shifts and hours are subject change depending on weather and/or contractual needs.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly paid position.

Pay is issued every two weeks.

As required by the Service Contract Act, Skils'kin pays an additional fringe benefit amount per hour toward the employee's health and welfare benefits which includes options for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).

Employees also receive paid sick leave and earn paid time off.
