Area Material Handling Maintenance ManagerBessemer, Alabama, United States at https://cbre.referrals.selectminds.com/jobs/60924/other-jobs-matching/location-onlyNewFacilities Management/Engineering/Maintenance at http://cbre.referrals.selectminds.com/landingpages/facilities-managementengineeringmaintenance-219033446Requisition #9 hours agoPost DateRESPONSIBILITIESThe purpose of this position is to manage daily functions of material handling operations and maintenance for multi-site facilities and ensures safe working environments.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupports multi-site productions and daily activities to meet deadlines for department and distribution goals.Coordinates, oversees and/or manages repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing maintenance.Prepares and manages department business plans and budgets.Develops and maintains preventive maintenance programs.Implements and ensures that all safety programs and procedures are followed.Provides on-call support for emergency situations.Performs other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESProvides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values. Manages a functional work unit and/or group. Works independently.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or training.Minimum two years of supervisory experience in directing or leading the work of others preferred.CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSESNoneCOMMUNICATION SKILLSExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGERequires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIESIntermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet. Ability to use work order system.Knowledge of blueprints, schematic diagrams and CMMS programs. Understanding of Industrial electrical, controls, and electronics preferred.SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITYDecisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines.
