Material Hndlng Mntnce Tech IIBessemer, Alabama, United States at https://cbre.referrals.selectminds.com/jobs/60964/other-jobs-matching/location-onlyNewFacilities Management/Engineering/Maintenance at http://cbre.referrals.selectminds.com/landingpages/facilities-managementengineeringmaintenance-219033746Requisition #7 hours agoPost DateRESPONSIBILITIESUtilizes advanced skills to perform installation, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair of the automated packaging and distribution equipment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaintains and troubleshoots motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachs, etc.Conducts maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells.Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment components.Maintains and repairs distribution center racking.Performs preventive/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using the appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals.Creates and closes Work Orders to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used into asset management system.Tracks and stores department inventory, including spare parts.Assists with basic electronics/Programmable Logic Controls troubleshootingPerforms other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNo formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. Associates Degree (AA/AS) in Mechanical or Electrical field of study preferred. Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training.Previous work experience with Automated conveyor systems and controls, repair of material handling equipment, predictive/preventive maintenance tools and procedures, metal/wood fabrication.CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSESNoneCOMMUNICATION SKILLSAbility to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGERequires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.REASONING ABILITYAbility to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIESBasic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, long periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.Previous work experience with blueprints and schematics; electrical and electronic principles. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System and robotic operation/maintenance preferred.Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety Standards preferred.SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITYDecisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
