Our maintenance crews are vital for the success of our regional fleet, and Walpole continues to provide dependable service in unpredictable times.Walpole Inc. has an opening for a full time Diesel Mechanic with experience in the following areas: Diagnosis of diesel engines and after-treatment problems Electrical troubleshooting Air brake repairs Outer End (brakes, bearings, and seals) HVAC systems

As a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll have a variety of tasks. Vehicle maintenance will need to meet or exceed our consistently high standards. Walpole Inc. is a rewarding company for mechanics who enjoy working as part of an efficient team.Major responsibilities include the following: Selecting appropriate course of action for repairs Removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling, and adjusting vehicle components Diagnosing all phases of vehicle and equipment repair Evaluating completed work prior to release, seeking supervisor approval where required Ensuring work orders are completed accurately Moving vehicles safely between job and work area Performing road calls and emergency services as necessary Actively participating in safety or educational training as required Communicating professionally with drivers, team members, and supervisorsAs an essential business, Walpole Inc. seeks to provide a great working environment and job stability.
