We Are HiringSt. Vincent’s Birmingham is looking for a PRN Registered Nurse for their Cath Labs to join our national network of associates and caregivers that are dedicated to delivering compassionate, and personalized care to all. Department: Cardiac Catheterization Lab Location: St.Vincent’s Birmingham Shift: PRN | 7am-7pm or 7am-3pm | on call during the week only As a Cath Lab RN you will monitor, sedate, and circulate patients. Additional duties include charting cardiac cath procedures. In this position, you will be on “call” so you must live within 30 minutes from the hospital to meet the on-call requirement. Call is once a week. There are lots of learning opportunities in this role as the team has a close relationship with cardiologists and a handful of tenured associates along with three new labs with new technology. What You Will DoProvide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will NeedLicensure / Certification / Registration:BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Additional PreferencesCath lab experience preferred.
