As the leader of the Last Mile Operations team at Shipt, you will have the opportunity to work for a competitive, fast-paced and innovative company. You will own a key aspect of our strategic roadmap, creating key operational processes around last mile delivery that will result in differentiated, reliable, and efficient results. You'll build a team that drives outstanding KPIs while creating new capabilities. You will build strong partnerships with C-suite leaders who value your credibility, thanks to the quality and reliability of your insights. Across Shipt, you and your team will improve outcomes, provide analytical rigor, creative problem-solving and sound decision-making.Your Responsibilities

Create diverse and inclusive work environments through all aspects of talent management: recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning

Operational and business strategy leader who has a proven track record in executing large scale operations, owning the business execution end-to-end, including deep analytics and iterations to achieve optimal results

Own large, cross-functional projects to drive most impactful company KPIs

Expert communications skills, with proven ability to create clear and concise messages for a multitude of stakeholders

Drive innovation with deep analytics to help optimize Shipt's labor network to meet growing demands for last mile deliveries services.

Ensure supply readiness across peak timeframes, through detailed forecasting and peak demand planning.

Has strong acumen of business ownership, is an excellent team leader and mentor, highly analytical and has deep roots in operations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Economics or related field

15+ years leading Operations for a high-growth marketplace

Track record in last mile carrier management across a broad range of national, regional, local and gig-sourced carrier portfolios

Previous experience running a major operations function

Proven problem solver when it comes to execution, efficiency, and outcomes

Demonstrate a blend of strategic thought leadership, analytical skills, creativity, and effective communication to consistently motivate and influence key stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with ease

Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Haves

A high degree of personal and professional integrity

Strong sense of urgency and ability to re-prioritize in a fast-paced, ever-changing landscape

Strong leadership and team building skills

Active industry network

Previous retailer, ecommerce or on-demand experience

MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
