As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by trouble shooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of all tire-related manufacturing, processing machinery and equipment. You will alsoÂbe responsible for relatedÂsafety and housekeepingÂobligationsÂthroughout the facility.ÂÂ

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Â

Responsible for technical support: troubleshooting, calibrating, installing, identifying, testing, programming, repairing and preventative maintenanceÂÂ

Understand and apply knowledge ofÂsteam, water, air, vacuum, condensate, and other systems and equipment with department operationsÂ

Analyze, troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment, machinery, physical facilities and the utilities/controlÂ

Safely operate machines including lathes, milling machines, planers, shapers, CNC MachineÂ

Use precision measuring instruments to maintain specified, close tolerances while maintaining and repairing industrial equipmentÂ

Measure, make sketches and fabricate parts, fit keys, lay out center lines, weld, cut, fit bearings, drill, tap and align holesÂ

Interpret blueprints, sketches, maintenance manuals and manufacturing specificationsÂ

Log or use computerized¯work order¯system¯for repair and maintenance activities performedÂ

Abide byÂsafe workÂstandardsÂincluding Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Spaces,Âand appropriate use ofÂPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE)Â

Adhere to Goodyear'sÂattendanceÂpolicyÂ

Perform a variety of manual tasksÂin varying temperaturesÂfor extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicableÂ

Basic Qualifications:ÂÂÂ

HS Diploma/GEDÂ

Must be at least 18 years of ageÂ

Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the futureÂ

Must be able to successfully complete allÂpost-employment,Âpre-employmentÂcontingenciesÂ

Ability to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicableÂ

Basic computer skillsÂÂ

Must provide basic toolsÂ

Preferred Qualifications:Â

Experience as an Industrial Maintenance MechanicÂwith basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction and operation of heavy industrial machinery, power and control devicesÂ

Industrial Mechanic Journeyman's card or AAS in Industrial MaintenanceÂÂ

Desire and willingness to learn and perform across craftsÂ

Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standardsÂ
