Company Background: Our client, a major employer in the area, is looking for a

Powertrain Engineer tobe part of its team in its North American operations.

Description:

RM Notes
  • This position is with the Powertrain Engine Assembly team responsible for building and installing the equipment for the engine.
  • The resource will also be responsible for building out, installing and little bit of maintenance of these equipment.
  • Manager is looking for someone with the bachelor's degree of either Mechanical or Electrical, experience working in Automotive or similar industry and Excel.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is highly preferred.
  • The resource should be comfortable with the travel of 20-25% in United States and there's a slight chance to travel to Japan as well. Also, the resource should be good with the overtime of 10 hours/week on an average.
  • This is position is for 12 months with a possibility of going beyond that.

Detailed Description of Responsibilities:
  • Machining & Assembly Line Lead & Line Lead support.
  • Responsible to Lead/Support the following activities:
  • Planning Process, Budget, Schedule for Machining/Assembly Line
  • Completing detailed machine Investigation/specifications for equipment
  • Procuring, running off, & installing equipment
  • Work requires focused Shutdown work (July & December), Weekend work, & possible 2nd shift activity

Requirements:

Required skills:
  • > 3 yrs Automotive Process Engineering (machining and assembly) experience
  • B.S. in Mech Engineering preferred (related Assoc degree and/or related experience acceptable)
  • Excel Capability
  • Works well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong Communication skills (written/verbal)
  • After first three months, we will have an evaluation to continue the contract.
  • Strong AutoCAD

Education Level:
  • Bachelors or Equivalent

Major: Mechanical / Electrical Engineer/IE

Amount of Travel: 25%
