Artemis is NASA's human spaceflight program, with international and commercial partnerships, that has the goal of landing humans on the Moon, serving as a precursor to Mars human exploration. The function of this open position is to provide project management and systems engineering expertise for development of various exploration systems and help lead integration activities and teams .

This position is 100% onsite in Huntsville, AL

What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide subject matter expertise to various NASA exploration teams, including oversight and coordination of project activities, meetings, and tasks (technical, cost, schedule, and risk).
  • Lead the teams and provide direct support in the design and execution of design reviews for various exploration teams.
  • Perform configuration and data management of exploration content in addition to development of online capabilities to ensure integration.
  • Serve as a technical specialist/consultant for a broad range of engineering/research activities.
  • Communicate effectively and be able to summarize and present analysis findings to both Aerospace and NASA Senior Staff.
  • Develop new opportunities to leverage FFRDC skills with other agencies at various NASA centers.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree or advanced degree from an accredited program
  • 8+ years' experience working across government programs, both developmental and operational
  • Strong Project Management skills is a must
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Independent and self-motivated; proactive ability to learn on the job and serve as the primary interface to the customer
  • Ability to work within a team environment, where the team is distributed across multiple NASA Organizations, Projects and Programs
  • Ability to identify and communicate concerns to leadership in a diplomatic manner
  • This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple organizations
  • Ability to develop and clearly communicate complex information
