Description
SAIC has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer, Modeling and Simulation for U.S. Army Evaluation Center (AEC) Support Services (AECSS) for Support Services for Ballistic Missile Defense Evaluation Directorate (BMDED).
This opportunity is available in both : Huntsville, AL and at Schriever Air Force Base / Colorado Springs, CO.
This position is contingent upon award of contract and may be temporarily remote due to COVID-19.
Duties and responsibilities include :
Independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, and make minor adaptations and modifications.
Provide independent and professional support on portions of complex projects. Specific assignment objectives, approaches, and possible solutions are reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
Independently perform project assignments that involves complex features and can be guided by codes, standards, and other precedents of the discipline
Analyze and / or evaluate the results of an analysis using techniques prescribed by senior engineers or supervisors; and accomplishes tasks of which require investigation of a many variables.
Qualifications
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering specialization or related discipline and ten (10) years applicable experience;
or a Master’s Degree in engineering specialization or related discipline and five (5) years applicable experience.
Top Secret security clearance is required with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS / SCI) eligibility.
Experience in DoD integrated test philosophy, test regulations, and coordinated test and evaluation programs are required.
Must be familiar with DoD drawings, specifications practices, formats and procedures.
Preferred Experience :
Modeling and simulation as applied to the BMDS.
Conducting accreditation assessment for all models and simulations (M&S) used in Missile Defense Agency (MDA) tests by ensuring that the verification and validation (V&V) activities provide evidence to demonstrate that the M&S are representing the real-world system and are suitable for operational performance assessments.
