Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr. Principal Cyber Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI). This position will be in Huntsville, AL.

Position Overview:

The Sr. Principal Cyber Architect will lead the d esign and development of new systems, components, applications, and solutions for a software Trust Factory (TF) product supporting the software development, end to end security requirements. Ensures system security needs are established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recover, and business continuity planning and provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis.

Essential Functions:
  • Leads efforts to integrate new architectural analysis of cyber security features and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integrations and testing issues .
  • Support program milestones and metrics, adhering to cybersecurity-relevant plans and schedules.
  • Leads the Agile development for a Product.
  • Supports Program Management in providing budget, schedule, and earned value management (EVM) inputs and supporting artifacts related to the Product development.
  • Interface with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence, teaming Industry partners and other government organizations or agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned to support Program Management needs.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 9 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 7 years of related experience, or 4 years of related experience with a PhD., or 13 years of related experience in lieu of the degree.
  • Scrum Master certification.
  • Experience working in the Cybersecurity Industry.
  • Certifications: Full DoD 8140 qualification.
  • Experience managing and directing efforts following an Agile and DevSecOps process model.
  • Experience with Systems Security Engineering as defined in NIST SP 800-160.
  • Experience supporting a new product engineering development effort in an earned value management contract.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
  • A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance is required to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Missile Defense Agency, Ground Midcourse Defense systems.
  • Experience performing or participating in cyber test and assessment activities as defined in the DoD Cyber Test & Evaluation Guidebook or prior Penetration Test experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and government customer personnel.
  • Experience analyzing complex problems and developing solutions based on limited direction and definition.
  • Current eligibility for U.S. Government DoD SCI access.
  • MS Project experience highly desired.
  • Knowledge of the NGI Program is highly desirable.

Salary Range: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
