Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Model & Simulation Engineer. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will be part of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program (Minuteman III ICBM replacement) development contract. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. What you will get to do:Develop modeling and simulation tools to assist with analysis of complex, technical problems relating to a wide variety of spacecraft and systemsDevelop algorithms to perform analysis and produce much-needed data productsMaintain and improve large scale simulations to support multiple missionsIntegrate existing models from mission partners into simulationsModel dynamic agent behaviorsEvaluate complex results and determine engineering recommendations based on analysisQuickly translate user needs into effective software solutionsDevelop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, brief government and industry as required. Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: Bachelors of Science Degree OR higher in Electrical Engineering or other STEM-related field of study 9 years of experience with a BS Degree, or 7 years of experience with a Master's degree in a STEM field Active Secret clearance with investigation in the last 6 years Preferred Qualifications: Experience with model based systems engineering such as Cameo Software background Experience with DoDAF standards and methods Experience with DOORS requirements management Experience with large systems Experience with UMLNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
