Description SAIC has an immediate need for a

Senior Software Engineer working on Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama. The selected candidate will be a member of a team providing software development support. The candidate will primarily be responsible for developing application software utilized to perform product development. A qualified candidate for this position would receive detailed algorithmic guidance from senior radar engineers on non-trivial feature additions to the MEDIC signal injector. The candidate would work to bring that feature from early design through implementation through correctness testing through mainline integration and finally through performance testing. The candidate wouldn't hesitate to "own" this feature as the software-side SME. The candidate would be expected to interact productively with radar engineers, test engineers, and to lead more junior software engineers in completing this feature work with minimal oversight from the lead software engineer.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Senior level software engineer who consistently delivers with minimal supervision
  • Self-driven, customer focused performer
  • Interested in tight loop, high bandwidth, pseudo real-time, performance focused software development
  • Expereince with Modern C
  • Familiar with Linux development

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
  • Must have an active DoD Security Clearance

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Radar experience
  • Experience with Ada
  • Git, GNU Make, Intel MKL, GPU development, Agile, Jira, Confluence, Python experience
  • Multithreaded, multi-core development experience
