Please apply in person Tues.-Fri. 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at 4101 Wimbledon Drive. Please come to the clubhouse dressed in business casual attire, appropriate for a country club environment. This is a conservative country club. Club policy requires that employees not have visible tattoos, pastel or brightly colored hair, please. Men must be clean-shaven.

Applicants must have valid ID and SS card available. Food and Beverage applicants must have valid Mobile County Food and Beverage Handler card or Servsafe certification.

Must submit to and pass the required background check and drug screen, both with negative results.

Part-time and Full-time positions available.

Benefits for full-time (30 hours or more) after completion of 60 days of employment.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Sets up side station and performs assigned side (prep) work.

2. Greets all members and guests upon arrival and assists in their seating.

3. Distributes food and wine menus; answers questions.

4. Takes alcohol and non-alcohol drink orders, answers questions and suggests regular or special menu items.

5. Delivers drinks other than water.

6. Takes members and guests orders; suggestively sells food and beverage items, if appropriate.

7. Places orders with kitchen through point of sale machine; informs cooks about any special cooking instructions.

8. Refills beverages now and throughout the meal.

9. Serves meal courses from trays brought by food runner; places dishes by courses in front of each person ladies first.

10. Checks back to ensure member and guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary.

11. Removes soiled dishes.

12. Presents dessert menus, suggests and serves dessert, coffee and after-dinner drinks.

13. Verifies accuracy of prices particularly if they are members of the Vintner or Brewers clubs and if they have ordered beverages.

14. Presents the check.

15. Is responsible for all the food delivered is charged and make sure all tickets are verified and signed at the end of the shift.

16. Keeps tables, dining room and bus station areas clean.

17. Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur and does everything to mitigate complaints.

18. Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.

19. Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Food and Beverage Manager or Manager on Duty.

20. Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.

21. Consistently follows local and state laws and the Clubs policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.

22. Performs other appropriate duties assigned by Manager on Duty.

23. Is punctual and works the prescribed schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Well-developed problem solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.

Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing activities practices.

Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Clubs operations.

1. Must be available for emergency and scheduled work requirements on evenings, weekends or holidays.

2. Must be available to work flexible shifts and overtime if necessary.

3. Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.

4. Requires long periods of time standing; frequent bending.
