Job Description

As a Business Intelligence Developer you will design and develop reporting assets utilizing the Enterprise Data Mart and Business Intelligence tools to provide consistent, reliable, and automated delivery to the end user. You will help end users navigate the data and reporting to solve business problems, complete report writing, MS SQL database querying, and data analysis. You will be responsible for developing SQL scripts to load data from multiple sources into a data mart, develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards using SQL Server, SSRS, or Tableau. As a member of this team you will manage data loads, security, and integrity of a data mart while also gathering business requirements from end-users and translate them into a meaningful product. Finally you will troubleshoot and fix of data loads and other issues within a data mart.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 2 years of SQL and report building work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of programming work experience
  • At least 1 year of report and data visualization development tool work experience such as Tableau
  • At least 1 year using an ETL tool - (SSIS, Informatica, etc)
  • At least 1 year of report and data visualization development tool work experience such as Tableau
  • At least 1 year work experience with relational database concepts
  • At least 1 year work experience of Data Warehousing and ETL concepts
  • At least 2 years of Business Objects or Discern Analytics work experience
  • Background in Healthcare IT
  • Experience with HIPAA, HITECH and other healthcare/privacy laws and regulations

Expectations
  • Must reside in or around the Montgomery, AL area or live within 60 miles of a virtually approved city
  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
