Job DescriptionThe HII team is responsible for managing enterprise architecture, engineering technical solutions to address capability gaps, and the development, sustainment, and modernization of enterprise networks across the Globe.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesDesigns and plans network systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network systems. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.Minimum Qualifications- 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, engineering, or other relevant Technical discipline preferred.
- 2+ years experience in networking providing support with design and building communication networks (LAN/MAN/WAN).\
- Must be experienced in evaluating IT hardware and software, such as:
- Troubleshooting LAN/MAN/WAN and other network-related problems
- Providing technical expertise for performance and configuration of networks
- Performing general LAN/BAN/WAN administration
- Providing technical leadership in the integration and test of complex large-scale computer-integrated networks
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
