Instructor to join our team! JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This employee shall provide administrative management and technical expertise functions as well as overall support management of the Client s combatives program. The employee will oversee the combatives training and development of over 100 staff members and new officer accessions, across three OTS squadrons, ROTC Detachments, and Summer Field Training. Training will take place on Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama or at the Vigilant Warrior Compound in Titus, Alabama.- Trains and develops staff in the AFCP.
- Obtain and maintain a current Master Combatives Instructor certification.
- Effectively instructs commissioned and non-commissioned staff in the AFCP.
- Counsels and evaluates assigned personnel as appropriate. Effectively provides assessments and motivation.
- Certifies basic and senior combatives instructors and provides record of training.
- Maintains records of instructor training and updates the Client and the Air Force Combatives Center of Excellence (AFCCoE).
- Provides technical skill development as appropriate.
- Ensures proper equipment is available and serviceable for training IAW facility and equipment standards as set forth by AFI 36-2620.
- Strongly desired minimum purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu
- Minimum three years of experience in a striking martial art to include, but not limited to: kickboxing, Muay Thai, boxing, MMA, etc
- Law enforcement/military experience/armed security (knowledge of weapon retention and escalation of force)
- Teaching adults and large groups of students
- Expertise in process improvement and consulting services
- Ability to collaborate with, inspire, and motivate others toward goal accomplishment
- Ability to communicate with and interact with senior leaders from both the public and private sector
