Business Development Manager (Staffing) Themesoft Internal Position Location : San Ramon / Plano Texas / Remote Overview
  • We are searching for a motivated Business Development Manager with IT Staffing or Services background for our San Jose office to sell staffing services to new clients.
  • The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for and close new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. To succeed in this role you will need to be self-driven and comfortable with a lot of sales activity including heavy phone work, e-mail, networking, and hunting for leads. This is an opportunity to make a real impact in a still relatively small, but rapidly growing business.
  • Candidates should have a network of contacts and a demonstrable track record of originating and closing IT Staffing or Services deals.
  • Candidates must have demonstrable sales figures and a record of overachieving sales targets and ideally have been with their firms for over 3 years.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Generate sales leads and set client meetings to develop new accounts, establish relationships at multiple levels throughout the client organization, and close viable business opportunities
  • Build a portfolio of business through nurturing your existing connections and targeting new prospects from a variety of companies and industries
  • Manage the client relationship, recognize key client issues, and ensure that client needs and objectives are consistently met through weekly/monthly follow-up
  • Meet all minimum requirements for weekly/monthly appointment activity and staffing sales revenue growth (schedule and attend 4-6 client meetings a week; attend a minimum of 2 networking events a month; generate at least one qualified non VMS job order per week; ensure a minimum of net 2 hires per month)
  • Actively forecast and manage a sales pipeline to ensure targets are met
  • Coordinate with recruiting team to ensure fulfillment of client job orders and staffing sales opportunities
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
  • Track all customer, account, and sales information including daily activities (email, calls, site visits, meetings) via the company's CRM and other sales management systems
Position Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of proven sales experience (ideally in Staff Augmentation and/or IT Staffing) and a proven track of successfully maintaining a sales quota in previous sales positions
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial attitude with the drive to succeed and the ability to handle several time-sensitive deadlines simultaneously with minimal direction from management
  • Experience building a new client base
  • Proven success in cold calling, prospecting for new business, following up on leads, securing new client accounts, and developing solid business relationships is required
  • Ability to communicate with clients at all levels of an organization
  • Experience with preparing and presenting proposals to prospects and clients
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
