Description SAIC is hiring an

Azure Cloud Engineer/Team Lead to join the SAIC Cloud One Operations and Sustainment Dev Sec Team. This candidate will be part of a team responsible for the architecture design/planning, management, support, and oversight of the Cloud One Azure environments. This position is

remote. Work may be performed from any location within the United States. The Azure Engineer/Team Lead will be supporting the Cloud One Common Computing Environment (CCE) program under the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Office for Network Integration (AFLCMC/HNI). Cloud One is an existing global, interconnected, virtualized, hybrid, and IT infrastructure hosting mission systems, applications, services, and data that will serve the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and U.S. Army (USA). Cloud One incorporates the capabilities of commercial cloud and Managed Service Providers (MSP) residing in Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). Cloud One is the Managed Service Provider for the Air Force commercial cloud, residing on AWS, Azure, Oracle OCI, and Google Cloud. This position is for Azure only. Cloud One facilitates the USAF and USA's efforts to migrate applications to a cloud environment, allowing the closure of data centers to support the Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) and allowing for increased efficiencies across the entire spectrum of the USAF and USA's IT operations. Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate technical documentation, project plans, and assist with estimations of effort
  • Provide leadership to the operation and sustainment team on a day-to-day basis
  • Assist the team in troubleshooting key technical issues and in identifying root cause
  • Primary point of contact all Azure Cloud environments and maintain Operations calendar.
  • Suggests improvements within internal IT processes (documentation, month/qtr. end support, etc.) and able to implement these suggestions
  • Design Azure environments and topologies
  • Deploy Hybrid AWS/Azure AD environments
  • Azure security and monitoring solutions implementation, including automated responses
  • Configure and troubleshoot cloud software systems using Terraform, ARM templates, Artifactory, Jenkins and Guacamole
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational, tooling and process inefficiencies
  • Handle project and design documentation
  • Update Knowledge base and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain regular contact with customers during support and projects
  • Participate in interviewing and onboarding of engineering and tech support talent as well as provide ongoing training
Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors and six (9) years or more experience; Masters and four (7) years or more experience; PhD and four (4) years related experience. Additional four (4) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
  • Interim Secret clearance required; Ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment
  • US citizenship required

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • In-depth understanding of, and experience with, deployments of various systems to Azure
  • Knowledge of VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, SQL, storage, Azure AD, etc.
  • Documentation for projects including design, asset inventory, diagrams, and presentation to customers
  • Three (3) or more years of experience and advanced vendor certification and in-depth knowledge of Azure
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe or other modern software development methods/practices
  • Experience supporting USAF or USA software development projects
  • Security + Certification required

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • A Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Certificate
  • SAFe DevOps certification
  • Experience supporting software migration efforts
  • IAT II Certification (or equivalent)
  • MCSE or MCTS, Azure certifications (AZ 100, AZ 500, and/or other AZ series exams, 346/7 are bonus), Azure Assessments
  • CISSP (or IAT III equivalent) Certification
  • Experience in an MSP or other IT company highly desirable
Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
