We have a new opportunity for an On-Site Systems Administrator who will support software functions, data transfers and network connectivity for computer systems, as well as oversee the network as a whole, making routine improvements and updates to ensure the system can handle all networking tasks and meet security requirements.Scope of Activity: Systems Administrators are responsible for managing and maintaining the hardwired lines and wireless connections in a system and the hardware that hooks up to that system. We are looking for a Systems Administrator who will:
- Creating and managing virtual infrastructure using VMWare
- VMware vSphere ESXi patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting VMware related issues
- Microsoft Server Administration including Active directory configuration, group policy, DNS, print management, DHCP and SQL cluster management, IIS, RADIUS and VPN
- Windows 10 configuration and desktop OS deployment management
- Creating and managing Netapp storage volumes
- Managing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery operations
- Evaluating critical systems, prioritize work, and define and resolve solutions to problems
- Suggest and oversee improvement processes
- Meeting with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems and to assess computing needs and system requirements for emerging technologies
- Providing technicians escalated support for technical issues
- Windows patch management and upgrades to system firmware and hardware
- Establishes work order and incident resolution expectations with users to prevent aging and unresolved issues
- Maintains Unified Communications, VoIP, and any related equipment, services, and platforms
- Managing enterprise anti-malware, anti-virus (McAfee) and encryption technologies
- Install and manage of third-party applications for departments
- Develop standards and documentation for processes
- Interpersonal skills to facilitate productive working relationships
- The ability to stay organized
- Communication skills to explain complicated computer concepts
- Discretion in handling people's private information on data servers and throughout the network
- Problem-solving skills
- The ability to work and collaborate within a team
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred
- Industry certifications preferred
- At least 3 to 5+ years of experience working in network administration, system administration or databases
- Exposure to automation and scripting tools, as well as a working knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and networking software
- Must possess a track record of developing and implementing various IT strategies and plans
- NetApp Storage preferred (Dell and HP storage experience accepted)
