Looking for a permanent P/T Full-Charge Bookkeeper to perform all accounting duties for 4 small businesses.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):
All AP/AR
Monthly statements/Collections/Bank Deposits/bank account reconciliation.
General Ledger maintenance/journal entries.
Payroll (enter timecards and perform weekly payroll and weekly, monthly and quarterly tax deposits/reports and year-end W2’s & 1099’s).
Workers compensation reporting/audit.
Monthly union reports/payments/audits.
Annual insurance renewals.
Reviewing purchaser terms & freight. Ensure terms are entered appropriately for suppliers. Create account invoices.
Maintain insurance requirements for all projects and monitor for current certificates of insurance for all subcontracts.
Maintain and prepare for year-end reporting. Work with CPA quarterly and year end.
Maintain all office files.
Maintain all licensing for the business to stay current.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED required. College Degree and/or accounting courses preferred.
A MINIMUM 3 years accounting. (Controller/ Full Charge bookkeeper preferred)
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Proficient in all basics of running a small office, filing, record retention, operating basic office equipment. Ability to multi-task, have excellent time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Must be reliable and able to work M-F 9:00am - 3:00pm.
Ability to work independently, with confidence and confidentiality
Strong MS Office experience (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Prior experience in construction strongly preferred.
Sage 100 Contractor software experience preferred. Absolutely must excel with QuickBooks skills.
Basic accounting test will be given if you are selected for an interview.
