Leading transportation company for cruise passengers is looking for a tour guide/director to provide narration on tour buses and customer service phone representative. 40 hours a week guaranteed.

Locations: Anchorage, Seward, Whittier

Seasonal: May - September

This position requires exceptional customer service skills. Must be able to work long hours and weekends through the full season of operation. Must be enthusiastic, energetic and be able to interact and communicate with people from different backgrounds. Must be able to provide informative and interesting narration. Must be able to assist people with luggage handling. Must be able to provide interesting narration and history facts to passengers. Must be able to memorize or follow script and relay it in an entertaining manner to the passengers. Must be able to speak on the microphone. Must be able to deal with difficult customers while staying upbeat, positive, and accommodating to customers. Must be able to communicate any problems to the office. Must be able to organize people and give them clear directions.

Physical requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 70 lbs, walk up stairs, assist passengers in and out of the vehicle, and climbing in and out of the back of the vehicle to load and unload luggage. Must be able to sit for long hours (longer than 3-4 hours)

Individuals must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while simultaneously creating a positive customer service experience for passengers. Ideal candidates would have knowledge of Anchorage area and Seward Hwy as well as locations of various hotels in town.

Qualifications required:

Excellent attitude.

Excellent customer service skills.

Clean driving record.

Able to pass a drug screening.

Must be able to lift baggage weighing up to 70 lbs.
