ConocoPhillips operates the Kuparuk and Alpine oil fields, has an ownership interest in the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and owns/operates the Polar Tankers fleet.DescriptionThe Project Control Lead is directly accountable to the Project Lead to provide the project service deliverables for the team directly, and through the leadership and guidance of any cost and schedule resources assigned to the project.Your responsibilities may include:
Help define and request through the Project Services Manager the number, type, duration and competency level of Project Control resources needed for the project.
Define the Project Services deliverables and accountabilities; delegate to Project Control resources and track/monitor/review/QA the completion.
Lead Project Services resources to provide Project Services deliverables to Project Team in accordance with corporate and CPAI project management standards and procedures for Cost Control, Planning/Scheduling, and Change Management
Promote the use of, and provide recommendations for, process improvement of the ConocoPhillips Project Management tools:

PIMs

SharePoint
Communicate to the Project Lead and Manager of Project Services, scope, schedule or cost risks/opportunities in a timely manner
Convey to the Project Services Manager variances from the approved ConocoPhillips Standards and Policies
Provide feedback to Project Services Manager on project services personnel personal performance
Be a leader in HSE performance by communicating, developing, supporting, and enforcing CPAI HSE policies, procedures, guidelines, requirements, and objectives
Qualifications:Basic/Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent or higher in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or related field
5 years’ experience in oil/gas and/or refining/petrochemical capital projects
Willing to travel to domestic locations
Preferred:
10 years project control experience in oil/gas and/or refining/ petrochemical capital projects
Proficient in the use of SAP, PIMs, Primavera, Excel
2 years field experience either through project controls, field engineering, or construction
Certification(s) in the project management discipline from a recognized organization (Primavera, PMI, AACEI etc)
Willingness to travel to project site (engineering office, and fabrication/ construction sites)
Personal accountability - makes commitments and is accountable for obtaining results
Demonstrated interpersonal and influence management skills
Ability to support multiple projects concurrently
Flexibility - able to understand and adjust to changing conditions
Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment
Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what's right
Understands how key financial and quantitative indicators impact the business
